THE
GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. (1 Cor. 12:1-11)
The nine gifts of the Holy Spirit can be
classified into three categories namely, the gift of revelation, power and
utterance.
v The gift of revelation: The
gifts of revelation are gifts that borders on things that are seen or reveal.
They are three in number namely:
o The
word of God
o Word
of wisdom
o Discerning
of spirits
v The gift of power: Gifts
under this category are gifts that involve some words of demonstration of
power. These are the
o The
gift of faith
o The
working of miracle
o The
gifts of healing
v The gifts of utterances: These
gifts are gifts that are spoken out. They operate in the area of something
being said or spoken. They are:
o The
gift of prophesy
o The
gift of divers kinds of tongues
o The
gift of interpretations of tongues
THE
FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. (GAL. 5:22-23)
That
passage of the scripture, the bible talks about the fruit of the Holy Spirit as
a single fruit. What this mean therefore, is that the Holy Spirit is like a
fruit of orange. Orange is a fruit that is made up of multiple segments. So is the
fruit of the Holy Spirit. If you have the fruit, you’ll see the manifestation
of all the nine segments in your life.
THE
BAPTISIM OF THE HOLY GHOST
The baptism in the
Holy Spirit is the experience that follows the new birth of our spirit. This
experience which followed by speaking in tongues exposes the believer to the
supernatural powers that is available to him or her to use to live a glorious
life while here on earth.
