BIBLICAL
PRINCIPLES FOR FINANCIAL FREEDOM
INTRODUCTION
The
Christianity is burdensome when one does not the ways of God. It is difficult
to accept or obey what we cannot understand. One of the most practical examples
is the monetary side of our required obedience. This is the area of monetary
contributions, offerings, tithe, and donations e.t.c.
Financial
lack is still among the worst areas of afflictions among believers, though for
non-believers as well, some are in huge debts. Others are lacking basic resources
in their lives and Christian living. And so on.
As
believers God has given us biblical principles that relate to our material
well-being. We can at least overcome areas within our sphere of responsibility.
Applying God’s principle may bring all we desire and it can eliminate avoidable
and needless distress.
9.
POVERTY: A BLESSING OR A CURSE
In
Gal. 3:13-14, the bible says that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the
law. The curse of the law includes spiritual death, sickness and poverty.
The
first curse that came on man for breaking the law was spiritual death. Gen.
2:17. The death that God referred to here was not physical death but spiritual
death. In fact, physical death is a manifestation of spiritual death. Spiritual
death means separation from God. Man in his fallen state could not respond to
the call of God without a sacrifice.
Christ
became our substitute when our sins were laid on Him. Heb. 2:9; 9:26; John
10:10; 5:24; Eph. 21; 2:8-9.

FINANCIAL FREEDOM

The Christianity is burdensome

our required obedience. This is the area of monetary contributions, offerings,
tithe, and donations e.t.c.
Financial lack is still among the

As believers God has given us
biblical principles that relate to our material well-being. We can at least

POVERTY:
A BLESSING OR A CURSE
In Gal. 3:13-14, the bible says
that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. The curse of the law
includes spiritual death, sickness and poverty.
The first curse that came on man
for breaking the law was spiritual death. Gen. 2:17. The death that God
referred to here was not physical death but spiritual death. In fact, physical
death is a manifestation of spiritual death. Spiritual death means separation
from God. Man in his fallen state could not respond to the call of God without
a sacrifice.
Christ became our substitute when
our sins were laid on Him. Heb. 2:9; 9:26; John 10:10; 5:24; Eph. 21; 2:8-9.
Through Christ Jesus the believer
has passed from spiritual death to life. 1 John 3:14.
THE
CURSE OF THE LAW ALSO INCLUDES SICKNESS AND POVERTY
The law refers to the first five
books of the Bible called the Pentateuch. In Deut. 28:1ff we find out that
sickness and poverty are part of the curses of the law. Deut, 28:15, 58-61;
16-19; 38-40
POVERTY
IS A CURSE WHILE PROSPERITY IS A BLESSING
Deut. 28:1-14 God outlined
blessings that would come on those who keep his commandment while He placed a
curse on those who disobey His commandment.
THE
BLESSINGS ARE FOR THE BELIEVERS TODAY
Abraham’s promise was threefold in
nature, it was first a spiritual blessing, second, a physical blessing and
third, it was a financial and material blessing.
So if Israelites under the old
covenant could receive God’s blessings by keeping the law, than if we under the
new covenant would walk in love, we would fulfill all the law too. And the
blessings should come on us also. Gal. 3:13-14.
Note: The manifestation may not
happen overnight. But at the point of catching the Revelation your journey to
prosperity starts. 2 Cor. 8:9
GOD
WANTS HIS PEOPLE TO HAVE ABUNDANT PROVISION
Paul referring to material and
financial blessings he received earlier in the chapter pronounced material and
financial blessings upon the givers. Phil. 4:19; 2 Cor. 8:7. The word “rich”
used in the second passage mentioned has nothing to do with God making all of
us millionaires rather it means God will fully supply all our needs, abundant
provision. Matt. 6:33.
UNDERSTANDING
THE LAW OF GIVING
In Luke 6:38 Jesus was speaking
from a financial stand-post. He was talking more than one area.
HONOR
GOD WITH FAITH, GIVING AND RIGHT MOTIVES
Your giving must be done in faith.

QUALIFICATIONS
FOR WALKING IN PROSPERITY
