DO YOU KNOW YOURSELF?

                    DO YOU KNOW YOURSELF?

Billions of people are living on the earth today with the knowledge of mathematics, physics, and biology. They have the knowledge of stocks market, the knowledge of politics, engineering, law, and medicine. They know about fashion, sports, arts, music and a lot more other aspects of life.

However, the sad reality is that a greater percentage of these people do not know who they are nor why they exist. They do not know for what purpose they are on the earth and where they are heading.......Excerpt from my new book

ENDORSEMENT

See What Dr Sunday Adelaja wrote about my book.

I want to use this opportunity to, first of all, congratulate you who are holding this book in your hands.

A countless number of people are actually dying with their potentials when they should achieve greatness with it. This is happening for a very simple reason. People don't know how to maximize themselves and their potentials. 99% of people on the earth have not been taught on how to release their potentials. Some of them don’t even know they have potentials in the first place. That is why it is essential that every man on earth reads this book.

Here in this book, Clement Ogedegbe has really opened our eyes and demystify death. Life could be an adventure after reading this book. Death is no more a tragedy because you have lived for a purpose.

I, therefore, want to recommend this book to as many people as want to live a meaningful life and a great life.

If you die a death of regret after this book, you only have yourself to blame. The answer is here, the solution is granted. No reason for anybody to live a meaningless life any longer when he could have through the use of his potentials live a great and successful life.
Read this book and practice everything in it. That is all you need to begin to live a blissful and a great life. Congratulations.

THE DANGER OF COMFORT ZONES

THE DANGER OF COMFORT ZONES

One major reason why people do not fulfil their potentials is that of the love for their comfort zone. Most people never maximize their potentials simply because of their strong desire to remain in their comfort zones. Comfort zones are comfortable but comfort zones preclude greatness and make people die with their potentials unfulfilled. Comfort zones prevent people from living the real life they were born to live. They spend all their years in their comfort zones not knowing that their real lives are meant to be lived outside of that zone. Comfort zones are comfortable but comfort zones give birth to failures.

YOU DON'T HAVE A THOUSAND MORE YEARS

                  YOU DON'T HAVE A THOUSAND MORE YEARS.

Start now to begin to use your potentials.Do that which you have been born with the potentials for. Start impacting the world with your potentials. Don’t say I will start tomorrow, No! Tomorrow is not assured. You only have today and you must take advantage of it. Add flesh to that plan, lay a brick upon that brick, add a line to that chorus, take a step forward, and move from where you’ve been. It is time to use those potentials. You will not have them forever, you will not be here forever. You don’t have a thousand more years. Put your potentials to use and impact the world for good. Don’t die with your potentials.Maximize them now that it is called today. Tomorrow might be too late.

POOR NATIONS, GREAT POTENTIALS

                         Poor Nations, Great Potentials

The greatness of a nation is dependent on the potentials of its citizens. Great nations don’t make great people, only great people make great nations. America could not have been a great nation if its citizens didn’t use their great potentials to make it great. Every nation on the face of the earth has citizens who are endowed with great potentials. There is no nation in the world whose citizens are completely void of potentials. God never created any nation to be void of potentially great citizens. Not India, not the Central African Republic, not Afghanistan nor Moldova is completely void of citizens with potentials. From the kibera slum in Nairobi, Africa to the cubatao, sao Paolo, Brazil, and down to the Makoko slums in Lagos, there are people with great potentials.

Unfortunately, most times, people who live in third world countries like Nigeria and most other African countries, think that their counterparts in the United States or in the developed European countries are actually more potentially endowed than they are. What they fail to realize is that irrespective of the nation of our birth, we are all first of all Homo sapiens, hence, we are all counterparts. If we are all Homo sapiens, then it is obvious that an American man or woman has the same brain structure, the same eyes, ears, hands, legs etc. as an African man or woman. As Homo sapiens, we are all endowed with potentials from God. We all have the ability to make our nations great. All nations are full of people with great potentials.

However, a nation could be full of great potentials and yet be poor and underdeveloped if those potentials are not recognized and harnessed to build that nation. Hence, we have poor nations, potentially great people. The reason is that people are not taught to harness their potentials but are taught to depend on the government. People are not told that they could convert their potentials and become creators of jobs but are encouraged to go about looking for jobs. So we have multitudes of people walking around with great potentials within them, yet looking for some boss to depend on; looking for some jobs. What a tragedy!

Why are people not told about the value of their potentials? And who is responsible for bringing that awareness to the populace? In my opinion, two major spheres of influence in our nations have a major role to play in this regard. The first is our educational sector and the second is our religious sector. I believe that if these two sectors are properly checkmated and made to function accordingly, we would become one of the most developed nations in the world.

Looking at our educational sector, you will notice that the system is structured in such a way as to undermine potentials, to discourage innovation and to kill creativity. Our school systems do not encourage people to look inward to discover their potentials and convert them into products and innovations. Rather, the system is structured to make people conform to some certain theories, standards and stale ideas of men who lived many centuries ago. Most of the things taught in our schools today are just some old stuff that you and I must conform to and which must not be questioned. We are required to just worship the status quo. The educational system requires you to follow a curriculum that leads nowhere other than the office of a boss for whom you are to work all your life and be laid off at 60 when you are old. You die at 65 or 70 still with your potentials unrealized and unfulfilled.

 The result of our faulty academic curriculum is that people with great potentials graduate from universities only to be ignorant of what they are capable of doing for themselves and their nation. People with great potentials walk around with Masters and PhD degrees looking for an office to enslave themselves under one man or woman in the name of a boss. Until we restructure our academic curriculums, we will not be able to harness the potentials of our citizens to build a great nation.

Looking at the second institution, the religious institution, one would find millions of people adequately endowed with great potentials praying and crying out to God every day to come rescue them from their poverty and mediocrity. A multitude of religious men and women looking helpless and handicapped, fasting and begging God to come develop and make their nation great. God created all men with great potentials. We are multipotent beings and co-creators with God. That means that we all could create the kind of nation we want. Having said that, the question that comes to mind is “how God could have created them with great potentials and yet they are begging on God to come develop their nation for them? Two things could be responsible for such attitude; the first is ignorance; ignorance of how much potentials they have been blessed with, and the second is unbelief in those potentials.

Why are these religious multitudes ignorant of their potentials? The reason is that the clergymen are telling them to depend on God for everything and that without God they can’t do anything. While that maybe scriptural, yet a lack of understanding of its meaning could cripple an entire nation. The crippling effect of such kind of messages that emphasizes waiting on God for everything above taking personal responsibility for our lives and our nation will be that the people whom God has given the potentials to initiate processes, inventions, and developmental projects, would fold their arms believing that they can do nothing until God comes to do it for them. They will be waiting on God while God is waiting for them to act. God will be waiting for them to discover their potentials and put them to use but they will be busy praying and fasting, abusing the government and lamenting the poor state of things in their nation.

Therefore, the result is a nation dying of poverty and economic recession yet full of citizens with great potentials and looking helpless. These ignorant potentially great people in Africa would do anything to leave the shores of their countries and run to Europe or America still with their potentials unharnessed. What they don’t know is that America is a great nation because its citizens harnessed their potentials to make it great. The first world nations are developed not thanks to their locations but thanks to the harnessed potentials of their citizens. All the industries and private sector innovations that we see in Europe are all the products of converted potentials. The skyscrapers, the good roads, the stable electricity, the accessible Wi-Fi and unlimited internet services were only given birth to thanks to converted potentials.

 Don’t forget that everything comes from potentials. Everything first exists in the form of potentials. That means that everything we are running to Europe and America to enjoy was once not visible but buried in individuals as potentials. It is only after these individuals discovered their potentials and converted them to products that these infrastructures became visible and available for all to enjoy. Therefore, nations become great only when its citizens discover their potentials and harness the power of those potentials to create industries, innovations, processes of production and fix the economy.
Nations become great only thanks to the power of harnessed potentials.

“If every citizen can get rid of indiscipline syndrome, we have immense potential to build more productive, conflict-free, harmonious and peaceful communities, societies, cities, nations, and world.”
                                            ― Vishwas Chavan

This means that Nigeria can become as great as the United States of America, Africa could become as developed as Europe but only if the citizens will look inward, discover their potentials and harness the power of those potentials to build their own nations. If our schools will begin to talk more about potentials and how to harness them than they talk about certificates and obsolete theories, then we can begin to hope for a great future for our nation. If our churches will encourage people to work hard and discover their potentials more than they talk about fasting and prayers, we will be on our way to building one of the greatest nations in the world. If we could have more church programs geared towards human capacity development than miracle-visa and breakthrough crusades, we would soon discover that we don’t need miracle and breakthrough services to travel abroad. All we need are men and women who would invest in the power of their potentials and through it develop their own nation.

EXCEPT YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS EXCEEDS THAT OF THE PHARISEE BY CLEMENT OGEDEGBE

EXCEPT YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS EXCEEDS THE PHARISEES'

Except your righteousness exceeds
                      the Pharisees’

“For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.{Matthew 5:20}

 This is a statement made by Jesus which many pastors have misunderstood. I hereby want to explain the true meaning of this statement.

Now let’s look at that statement critically. You will find out that there are two kinds of righteousness mentioned there. The first one is the Pharisaic righteousness and the other one is the exceeding righteousness. I will start by explaining the pharisaic righteousness and I will start with questions.

(1)Are the Pharisees actually righteous?
(2) Were they not the same people Jesus convicted of sin when the woman caught in adultery was brought before Jesus?
(3)Were they not the people Jesus told would die in their sins if they didn’t believe in Him?
(4)Were they not the ones Jesus called hypocrites standing on street corners to pray?
(5)Is their righteousness (if any) based on the laws of Moses or on faith in Christ Jesus?
I wonder if these people are really righteous. Let’s see some scriptures about the Pharisees that could help you answer my questions

 “Make certain you do not perform your religious duties in public so that people will see what you do. If you do these things publicly, you will not have any reward from your Father in heaven.
“So when you give something to a needy person, do not make a big show of it, as the hypocrites do in the houses of worship and on the streets. They do it so that people will praise them. I assure you, they have already been paid in full. But when you help a needy person, do it in such a way that even your closest friend will not know about it. Then it will be a private matter. And your Father, who sees what you do in private, will reward you.
“When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites! They love to stand up and pray in the houses of worship and on the street corners, so that everyone will see them. I assure you, they have already been paid in full. But when you pray, go to your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what you do in private, will reward you. {Matthew 6:1-6}

The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector
Jesus also told this parable to people who were sure of their own goodness and despised everybody else. 10 “Once there were two men who went up to the Temple to pray: one was a Pharisee, the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood apart by himself and prayed,[a] ‘I thank you, God, that I am not greedy, dishonest, or an adulterer, like everybody else. I thank you that I am not like that tax collector over there. 12 I fast two days a week, and I give you one tenth of all my income.’ 13 But the tax collector stood at a distance and would not even raise his face to heaven, but beat on his breast and said, ‘God, have pity on me, a sinner!’ 14 I tell you,” said Jesus, “the tax collector, and not the Pharisee, was in the right with God when he went home. For those who make themselves great will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be made great.”{Luke 18:914}

The above verses certainly have shown you some truths about the Pharisees but I have some more for you. If you didn’t read the verses above please endeavour to read the ones below. You will find out about the pharisaic kind of righteousness and decide for yourself if you want that kind of righteousness. This is what Jesus said about the Pharisees:

Religious Fashion Shows
23 1-3 Now Jesus turned to address his disciples, along with the crowd that had gathered with them. “The religion scholars and Pharisees are competent teachers in God’s Law. You won’t go wrong in following their teachings on Moses. But be careful about following them. They talk a good line, but they don’t live it. They don’t take it into their hearts and live it out in their behavior. It’s all spit-and-polish veneer.

4-7 “Instead of giving you God’s Law as food and drink by which you can banquet on God, they package it in bundles of rules, loading you down like pack animals. They seem to take pleasure in watching you stagger under these loads, and wouldn’t think of lifting a finger to help. Their lives are perpetual fashion shows, embroidered prayer shawls one day and flowery prayers the next. They love to sit at the head table at church dinners, basking in the most prominent positions, preening in the radiance of public flattery, receiving honorary degrees, and getting called ‘Doctor’ and ‘Reverend.’

8-10 “Don’t let people do that to you, put you on a pedestal like that. You all have a single Teacher, and you are all classmates. Don’t set people up as experts over your life, letting them tell you what to do. Save that authority for God; let him tell you what to do. No one else should carry the title of ‘Father’; you have only one Father, and he’s in heaven. And don’t let people maneuver you into taking charge of them. There is only one Life-Leader for you and them—Christ.
11-12 “Do you want to stand out? Then step down. Be a servant. If you puff yourself up, you’ll get the wind knocked out of you. But if you’re content to simply be yourself, your life will count for plenty.
Frauds!
13 “I’ve had it with you! You’re hopeless, you religion scholars, you Pharisees! Frauds! Your lives are roadblocks to God’s kingdom. You refuse to enter, and won’t let anyone else in either.
15 “You’re hopeless, you religion scholars and Pharisees! Frauds! You go halfway around the world to make a convert, but once you get him you make him into a replica of yourselves, double-damned.

16-22 “You’re hopeless! What arrogant stupidity! You say, ‘If someone makes a promise with his fingers crossed, that’s nothing; but if he swears with his hand on the Bible, that’s serious.’ What ignorance! Does the leather on the Bible carry more weight than the skin on your hands? And what about this piece of trivia: ‘If you shake hands on a promise, that’s nothing; but if you raise your hand that God is your witness, that’s serious’? What ridiculous hair-splitting! What difference does it make whether you shake hands or raise hands? A promise is a promise. What difference does it make if you make your promise inside or outside a house of worship? A promise is a promise. God is present, watching and holding you to account regardless.

23-24 “You’re hopeless, you religion scholars and Pharisees! Frauds! You keep meticulous account books, tithing on every nickel and dime you get, but on the meat of God’s Law, things like fairness and compassion and commitment—the absolute basics!—you carelessly take it or leave it. Careful bookkeeping is commendable, but the basics are required. Do you have any idea how silly you look, writing a life story that’s wrong from start to finish, nit-picking over commas and semicolons?

25-26 “You’re hopeless, you religion scholars and Pharisees! Frauds! You burnish the surface of your cups and bowls so they sparkle in the sun, while the insides are maggoty with your greed and gluttony. Stupid Pharisee! Scour the insides, and then the gleaming surface will mean something.
27-28 “You’re hopeless, you religion scholars and Pharisees! Frauds! You’re like manicured grave plots, grass clipped and the flowers bright, but six feet down it’s all rotting bones and worm-eaten flesh. People look at you and think you’re saints, but beneath the skin you’re total frauds.

29-32 “You’re hopeless, you religion scholars and Pharisees! Frauds! You build granite tombs for your prophets and marble monuments for your saints. And you say that if you had lived in the days of your ancestors, no blood would have been on your hands. You protest too much! You’re cut from the same cloth as those murderers, and daily add to the death count.
33-34 “Snakes! Reptilian sneaks! Do you think you can worm your way out of this? Never have to pay the piper? It’s on account of people like you that I send prophets and wise guides and scholars generation after generation—and generation after generation you treat them like dirt, greeting them with lynch mobs, hounding them with abuse.

35-36 “You can’t squirm out of this: Every drop of righteous blood ever spilled on this earth, beginning with the blood of that good man Abel right down to the blood of Zechariah, Barachiah’s son, whom you murdered at his prayers, is on your head. All this, I’m telling you, is coming down on you, on your generation.
37-39 “Jerusalem! Jerusalem! Murderer of prophets! Killer of the ones who brought you God’s news! How often I’ve ached to embrace your children, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you wouldn’t let me. And now you’re so desolate, nothing but a ghost town. What is there left to say? Only this: I’m out of here soon. The next time you see me you’ll say, ‘Oh, God has blessed him! He’s come, bringing God’s rule!’”{Matthew 23:1-39 MSG}

An entire chapter was dedicated to lambasting the Pharisees, yet Jesus said except your righteousness exceeds that of the Pharisees, you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven .It means that the pharisaic kind of righteousness which is based on the Law of Moses and which is always faulted can never take any man to heaven. Most preachers think that to exceed the pharisaic righteousness you will need to obey more laws than they did. No sir! That is a wrong teaching. I have stated before in this book that no man can keep all of God’s laws by himself.

To explain the second kind of righteousness, The Exceeding righteousness, let’s look at the verse of scripture below

 I didn’t want some petty, inferior brand of righteousness that comes from keeping a list of rules when I could get the robust kind that comes from trusting Christ—God’s righteousness.{Philippians 3:9 MSG}

Now you must understand that the righteousness that exceeds that of the Pharisees, is the robust kind of righteousness and it has nothing to do with rule keeping. It is not connected to obeying more laws than the Pharisees did. It is simply a product of faith in Christ Jesus. It is the righteousness gift He gave us when He alone fulfilled the laws for us. It is God’s righteousness through faith in Christ Jesus. It exceeds that of the Pharisees. The laws of Moses and the prophets bore witness to this exceeding righteousness. They prophesied about it long ago. It is this exceeding righteousness that makes men perfect as their heavenly Father is. It is the saving righteousness that Jesus meant when He said “with God all things are possible” It is only possible through Him.

. It is the righteousness that came with the kingdom of God. It proceeded out of heaven. It is not an earthly righteousness based on earthly rules. When Jesus announced the kingdom, the first thing on His mind was the exceeding righteousness. He said except you have this exceeding righteousness, you cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven.

A lot of people have the pharisaic kind of righteousness and the more laws they keep the more pharisaic righteousness they have but the truth is that no matter how much of that law -based righteousness you have, you still will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Only the exceeding righteousness by faith gives us access into the kingdom of heaven. Under this kingdom righteousness, we don’t judge each other because we all have the same value of righteousness by faith. We all know that without God’s help we are nothing and can never attain righteousness. But under the pharisaic righteousness, one person feels more righteous than the other because of how many laws he could obey. There is a judgemental spirit operational in the supposed righteous ones and a spirit of pretence in the seemingly unqualified ones because they want to appear outwardly righteous too.

The pharisaic righteousness based on the laws of Moses had been before Christ came but He said Repent for the kingdom of Heaven is here when He arrived our earthly realm. The first thing about God’s kingdom is Righteousness. If the righteousness by laws was sufficient there wouldn’t have been need for the arrival of the kingdom with a righteousness that is based on faith.

 17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.{Matthew 4:17}

17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.{Romans 14:17}

This exceeding righteousness that came with the kingdom has peace and joy in the Holy Ghost with it. It is based on faith for being justified {declared righteous} by faith we have peace with God. The pharisaic righteousness is not based on faith and lacks peace and joy. It is based on the law and the law is not of faith. Remember, whatever is not of faith is sin. No wonder Jesus said REPENT for the kingdom of heaven {with a faith righteousness} is here.

11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.{Galatians 3:11-12}

23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.{Romans 14:23}

I decide to enjoy this exceeding righteousness from Jesus. I reject the pharisaic righteousness with all its laws and religious rituals. Make your choice today. Jesus’ righteousness without the laws or the pharisaic righteousness with the laws? The choice is yours.

The dimensions of his love by pastor clement ogedegbe Gracestand ministr...

THE DIMENSIONS OF HIS LOVE
More than a nice melody
More than the sweetest of words
This is the love I have found
And in this love I am found
Never could I comprehend
The love you so freely give
Never could I be worthy
But your love covers all of my sins
{Song: I Just Want You by Planet Shakers}

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
 {Ephesians 5:25-29}

Christ’s love for His bride{us} was demonstrated by the offering of himself even unto death that he might sanctify and cleanse us and make us glorious without spot nor wrinkles and that we should be holy and without blemish. The amazing thing about this love is that it is Unconditional and undeserving of us who were once filthy and sin-laden. The love looked beyond our faults. Our multitude of sins were all covered by this love. If He loved us when we were dirty and unholy, one cannot imagine the dimensions of His love now that we have been purged and sanctified. Paul puts it this way:

17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.{Ephesians 3:17-19}

His love for the Church is beyond knowledge, it is unfathomable. It’s got breadth, length, depth and height and this love is Unchanging, constant and wavers not. It is not affected by what we do. We cannot earn it by our works neither can our weaknesses reduce it. In fact before we had the knowledge of good and evil we were already loved. We were chosen from the beginning to walk in Love blamelessly.
4 Long ago, even before he made the world, God chose us to be his very own through what Christ would do for us; he decided then to make us holy in his eyes, without a single fault—we who stand before him covered with his love. 5 His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by sending Jesus Christ to die for us. And he did this because he wanted to!
6 Now all praise to God for his wonderful kindness to us and his favor that he has poured out upon us because we belong to his dearly loved Son. 7 So overflowing is his kindness toward us that he took away all our sins through the blood of his Son, by whom we are saved; 8 and he has showered down upon us the richness of his grace—for how well he understands us and knows what is best for us at all times.(Ephesians 1:4-8 TLB)

If we were loved before the foundations of the world then there is nothing we can do to quench or reduce this love. Long before God laid down earth’s foundation, He had us in mind and has settled on us as the focus of his love to be made whole and holy by his love. He found pleasure in adopting us into His family so he could lavish his love on us the Church.  This love is stronger than fire, many waters cannot quench it, and rivers cannot overflow it. We have been sealed in His heart.

6"Put me like a seal over your heart, Like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, Jealousy is as severe as Sheol; Its flashes are flashes of fire, The very flame of the LORD.7"Many waters cannot quench love, Nor will rivers overflow it; If a man were to give all the riches of his house for love, It would be utterly despised."{Songs of Solomon 8:6-7}

Just imagine a young man who stupendously loves his wife. He would always want her to be around him. He would miss her so much that he would call and chat with her everyday if they were countries apart. He would do everything possible to bring her over to his country or city of residence so she would be where he is. He would desire to see her every day and enjoy her presence. He would prepare her a beautiful room even before she arrives and would greatly anticipate her arrival.

That is how much Christ loves us also and even more. He desires to have communion with us and enjoy divine romance with us. He would do anything possible to have us be with Him in Heaven. He has prepared a place for us already in heaven waiting for the right time for us to join Him there. He is delighted just at the thought of us and ravished by the sight of us. I wish we could relate with Him as our groom and call Him all the sweet names; Honey, darling, sweetheart, heart throb, dearest, treasure, heartbeat, morning star, most handsome, sunshine, fortune, gorgeous etc. If He can be the one we think about when we sleep and still wake up with Him in mind then our love for Him would be fully expressed. The truth is that He has us in mind every second and watches over us even while we sleep. He deeply loves us.

 Nothing can separate us from this love. It is an everlasting love and transcends into the ages to come. Even if the church stumbles yet this love will not depart. Let the bride wander away, the love remains unfailing still. The groom has chosen to love us forever and nothing will deter him. Paul puts it this way:

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.{Romans 8:37-39}

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,{Ephesians 2:4}

The church is greatly loved. This great love provokes God’s mercy in place of judgement. What a privilege it is to be greatly loved by the God of Heaven.

17 And as we live with Christ, our love grows more perfect and complete; so we will not be ashamed and embarrassed at the Day of Judgment, but can face him with confidence and joy because he loves us and we love him too.

18 We need have no fear of someone who loves us perfectly; his perfect love for us eliminates all dread of what he might do to us. If we are afraid, it is for fear of what he might do to us and shows that we are not fully convinced that he really loves us. 19 So you see, our love for him comes as a result of his loving us first. {1John 4:17-19 TLB}

You see church, there is nothing to be afraid of about judgement day. Christ has loved us perfectly and we will not be embarrassed nor ashamed on judgement day. I am persuaded that He won’t harm us because He loves us and nothing we do can separate us from His love.

Now let’s read this love letter written by our Groom to us, His Bride even if  we possibly mess up;

5 For Your Maker Is Your Husband—
    The Lord Almighty Is His Name—
The Holy One Of Israel Is Your Redeemer;
    He Is Called The God Of All The Earth.
6 The Lord Will Call You Back
    As If You Were A Wife Deserted And Distressed In Spirit—
A Wife Who Married Young,
    Only To Be Rejected,” Says Your God.
7 “For A Brief Moment I Abandoned You,
    But With Deep Compassion I Will Bring You Back.

8 In A Surge Of Anger
    I Hid My Face From You For A Moment,
But With Everlasting Kindness I Will Have Compassion On You,”
    Says The Lord Your Redeemer.
9 “To Me This Is Like The Days Of Noah,
    When I Swore That The Waters Of Noah Would Never Again Cover The Earth.
So Now I Have Sworn Not To Be Angry With You,
    Never To Rebuke You Again.
10 Though The Mountains Be Shaken
    And The Hills Be Removed,
Yet My Unfailing Love For You Will Not Be Shaken
    Nor My Covenant Of Peace Be Removed,”   Says The Lord, Who Has Compassion On You.{Isaiah 54:5-10}

I recommend you read this letter again with undivided attention and you would see how deep His love is for us. His love says the following
1       ”Even if you walk away from me I will bring you back with deep compassion”
2       “I have sworn not to be angry with you again”
3       “I will never rebuke you again”
4       “My unfailing love for you will not be shaken no matter what happens”
5       “My covenant of peace will not be removed”
6       “I will continually have compassion on you”
7       “I will show you kindness forever”

What manner of love is this! It brings tears to the eyes and joy to the soul. I wish the Church will understand that there is nothing standing between her and Christ. His love is for us not against us. I know some of you are thinking that you’ve wandered too far away that His love can’t reach you any more.

I assure you today that His love is boundless. The dimensions of his love has got no boundaries so that you may know that you are still within the confines of His love. His hands are stretched out towards you even in your fallen state to rescue you from the dungeon of sin. His care and attention is focused on you when you fall. He wants to bring you back into the arms of His embrace. He will never forsake you in your weakness. He is chasing after you. He will woo you over and again until you return to the arms of His love because He loves you greatly.If you will listen to His voice today you will hear Him say this to you “I’ve never quit loving you and never will. Expect love, love, and more love!

The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, “Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee {Jeremiah 31:3}

We must be told that the Groom understands all our shortcomings and whenever we fall this is what happens………Episode 4,a must see!

A few verses on God’s love
9This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins {1John 4:9-10MSG}

16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.
18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
19 We love because he first loved us. 20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister {1John 4:16-21 MSG}.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us{ Romans 5:8}

By this we know LOVE because He laid down his life for us........ {1john 3:16}

Behold what manner of Love the father has bestowed upon us that we should be called the son of God......{1john 3:1}

 There are a lot of believers looking for love in the wrong places, jumping from one relationship to another looking for approval and acceptance from mere mortals yet there is a God who tenderly loves them with a fatherly love waiting for them to take advantage of his extravagant love.

27 for the Father Himself [tenderly] loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came from the Father. {John 16:27 AMP}

 See what an incredible quality of love the Father has shown to us, that we would [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, we are [even here and] now children of God, and it is not yet made clear what we will be [after His coming]. We know that when He comes and is revealed, we will [as His children] be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is [in all His glory].{1 John 3:1-3 AMP}

It is the incredible quality of the father’s love that permitted and allowed us the privilege to become his children. Now we carry the very genes of the father and when Christ appears again we shall be like him. His DNA lies within us. His love is shared abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.

The idea of God becoming our father and we becoming his children was born out of love. The love of God was burning within his heart seeking for a better way to be expressed. It is so huge a love that it couldn’t be fully expressed in the Old Testament because of the restrictions of the old covenant of the law. God was seen as an angry God waiting to kill anyone who broke the laws of Moses. Love could not be fully lavished under the old system that enslaved men and killed them when they faulted. The God of love needed something more than a master-slave relationship in order to fully express his love. The dimensions of His love are boundless and can only be extravagantly poured out by making us His children.

Song Prayer

Lord I come to You
Let my heart be changed, renewed
Flowing from the grace
That I have found in You
And Lord I have come to know
The weaknesses I see in me
Will be stripped away
By the power of Your love

Hold me close
Let Your love surround me
Bring me near
Draw me to Your side
And as I wait
I will rise up like the eagle
And I will soar with You
Your Spirit leads me on
In the power of Your love

Lord unveil my eyes
Let me see You face to face
The knowledge of Your love
As You live in me
And Lord renew my mind
As Your will unfolds in my life
In living every day

By the power of Your love
