THE JUDGEMENT-“NOT GUILTY"

THE JUDGEMENT-“NOT Guilty"

30 And having chosen us, he called us to come to him; and when we came, he declared us “not guilty,” filled us with Christ’s goodness, gave us right standing with himself, and promised us his glory.{Rom 8:30 TLB}

 I would like to say that the essence of all the covenants God made was to delete the guilt that came upon us by reason of the sin of the first Adam. That sin condemned all men and made us all guilty even when we haven’t committed any sin. The sin corrupted all of mankind such that we were born as sinners not because of any sin we committed but by reason of our Adamic lineage. No matter how hard we tried to be righteous by keeping God’s laws we were still guilty in the eyes of God. This condemnation that we inherited can only be changed when we meet Christ and we are born of a different lineage. Therefore until a man is born again he is under condemnation and guilty of sin even if he doesn’t commit any.

Now that we have met Christ and are born of God, we are no longer under that condemnation. What I mean is that we are no longer guilty of sin even if we fall into sin. This is because God himself declares us righteous by faith. Now that we have faith in Christ Jesus, we are JUSTIFIED (not guilty).We no longer depend on our efforts to be righteous in God’s sight because all of our efforts will amount to a filthy rag before God. When we fall into sin, He sees it, but pardons us and declares us NOT GUILTY. He decided not to keep records of our sins again once we are in Christ.

The reason why we are NOT GUILTY is because He doesn’t examine us, instead He examines Jesus the sacrificial lamb that was slain for our sin. Once Jesus is accepted then we are also accepted because we are in Him and He is in us. In fact He is the HEAD, we are his BODY. If He is NOT GUILTY then we also are NOT GUILTY. He is the VINE we are the BRANCHES.A good tree will only produce good fruits. We know that Christ has fulfilled the righteous demands of the law for us so that the sin we inherited through our human nature will be condemned and done away with and that we be no longer condemned. Now we are set free and declared innocent

There is no condemnation now for those who live in union with Christ Jesus.For the law of the Spirit, which brings us life in union with Christ Jesus, has set me[a] free from the law of sin and death. What the Law could not do, because human nature was weak, God did. He condemned sin in human nature by sending his own Son, who came with a nature like our sinful nature, to do away with sin. God did this so that the righteous demands of the Law might be fully satisfied in us who live according to the Spirit, and not according to human nature.{Romans 8:1-4 GNT}

Now all the charges that were against us have been cancelled completely and nailed to the cross. No longer can we be accused of sin again neither can anyone condemn us. God himself now declares us NOT GUILTY. No matter how many times we err, so long as we are in Christ we are free, discharged and acquitted. This is how the message bible explained it “Think of it! All sins forgiven, the slate wiped clean, that old arrest warrant cancelled and nailed to Christ’s cross.” The slate is wiped clean for us. Sin is not recorded anymore. The arrest warrant that makes us guilty has been cancelled, we can no longer be arrested. The heavenly record reads NOT GUILTY.

 14 he cancelled the unfavourable record of our debts with its binding rules and did away with it completely by nailing it to the cross. {Colossians 2:14 GNT}

He concludes,
I’ll forever wipe the slate clean of their sins. {Hebrews 10:17 MSG}

Again I say we are JUSTIFIED BY FAITH, we are not guilty because our justification is not based on the works of the law. We do not boast of keeping the law, in fact we can’t even keep them. Only Christ kept them for us. Our boast is in the cross of Christ for we are not sufficient of ourselves but our sufficiency is of God. He alone has declared us not guilty. We know that no flesh is justified by the law in the sight of God. Therefore righteousness can never come by keeping laws but by having faith in Christ Jesus. He gives us the gift of righteousness that makes us NOT GUILTY. His righteousness makes us righteous and accepted as NOT GUILTY before God

33 Who will accuse God's chosen people? God himself declares them not guilty! 34 Who, then, will condemn them? Not Christ Jesus, who died, or rather, who was raised to life and is at the right side of God, pleading with him for us!{Rom 8:33-34 GNT}

But those who depend on faith, not on deeds, and who believe in the God who declares the guilty to be innocent, it is this faith that God takes into account in order to put them right with himself.{Rom 4:5 GNT}

And there is a difference between God's gift and the sin of one man. After the one sin, came the judgment of “Guilty”; but after so many sins, comes the undeserved gift of “Not guilty!”{Rom 5:16 GNT}

 I want you to know that you must not return to the law else you become a sinner. Stop trying to please God by keeping of rules. It just doesn’t work. If you would stop the pretence and say the truth, if we could X- ray your private life beyond the outward religious camouflage, it would be shocking what would be revealed. You know within you that you keep falling no matter how hard you try. Why not quit the struggle and lean on Christ’s righteousness gift. Listen to this:

“What actually took place is this. I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God and it didn’t work. So I quit being a law man, so that I could be God’s man” {Gal.2:19 MSG}

The truth is that when you return to the law-keeping system as a believer in Christ, you become a sinner again. Under the law sins are recorded and punished but under faith sins are not remembered therefore they are pardoned. Without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God. You need to hear this:

“I am a sinner if I revive the old system of law I already tore down” {Gal.2:18 NLT}

Now God sees us through Christ and if you are born again {have faith in Christ}, this is His judgement about you:
YOU ARE SPOTLESS {Ephesian 5:27}
YOU ARE HOLY {1Peter 2:9}
YOU ARE FAULTLESS {Jude 1:24}
YOU ARE WHOLE {Ephesians 1:4-6 MSG}
YOU ARE RIGHTEOUS {2Cor 5:21}
YOU ARE BLAMELESS {Col 1:22 NIV}
YOU ARE PARDONED {Micah 7:18}
YOU ARE MINE {1 John 4:4}
YOU ARE FOREVER PERFECT {Heb.10:14 GNT}
YOU ARE GREATLY LOVED {Ephesians 2:4}

YOU ARE NOT  GUILTY {Roman 8:33 GNT}
THE ETERNAL COURT OF JUSTICE HAS RULED!!!
No court can overrule this ruling.
No religion can overrule this.
No pastor/bishop or pope can overrule this ruling.
Let God be true and all men liars.
THE SUPREME JUDGE OF THE UNIVERSE HAS NO SUPERIOR!!

 Now that we know we are not guilty and that He loves us, we must therefore eliminate every sin consciousness and the burden of guilt that we carry around as believers. We must evolve a righteousness consciousness and replace fear with boldness. As the end of the age draws nearer and the disappearance of mother earth approaches we must be confident of this one thing that He will present us faultless before our Father God. His judgement sit is a mercy sit for us and the heavenly court is our family court. The supreme Judge is our Father God and the lawyer is Jesus our elder brother. The accuser of the brethren, Satan was disarmed and defeated over 2000 years ago.

His weaponry, SIN has been destroyed by Christ’s physical death and the law which strengthened sin was fulfilled in Christ and all the handwriting of ordinances (charges) that were against us nailed to the cross of Christ. That old arrest warrant was destroyed and we have been declared innocent, discharged and acquitted. Now we await His return with boldness to receive the crown of life and enjoy everlasting fellowship with our Lover Jesus Christ the Righteous.

17 And as we live with Christ, our love grows more perfect and complete; so we will not be ashamed and embarrassed at the Day of Judgment, but can face him with confidence and joy because he loves us and we love him too.
18 We need have no fear of someone who loves us perfectly; his perfect love for us eliminates all dread of what he might do to us. If we are afraid, it is for fear of what he might do to us and shows that we are not fully convinced that he really loves us.{1 John 4:17-18 TLB}

38 “Brothers! Listen! In this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins!39 Everyone who trusts in him is freed from all guilt and declared righteous—something the Jewish law could never do. 40 Oh, be careful! Don’t let the prophets’ words apply to you. For they said, 41 ‘Look and perish, you despisers of the truth,[e] for I am doing something in your day—something that you won’t believe when you hear it announced.’”{Acts 13:38-41 TLB}

Be glad and believe that on the day of judgement Christ will present you faultless, holy and without blemish. You are free from all accusations. It is His job and not yours. Just relax in His love and trust His finished work on the cross.It all happened on the cross.

24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. {Jude 1:24-25}

22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation {Col 1:22 NIV}
